Practice Experience
Mr. Wipper, a native New Yorker, has a diverse litigation practice. He
has represented prominent corporations and businesses in complex
commercial litigation, construction litigation, real estate litigation,
products liability, securities litigation, and criminal and regulatory
investigations. Mr. Wipper has represented pharmaceutical companies,
developers, landlords, tenants, cooperative corporations, schools,
manufacturers, and brokerage houses. Mr. Wipper has extensive
experience practicing before state and federal trial courts and
appellate courts in New York, having represented clients before trial
courts in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, the United States
District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the
Appellate Division, and the United States Court of Appeals for the
Second Circuit. Mr. Wipper was previously associated with the law firms
of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP.
Mr. Wipper also has a renowned reputation for community service. Mr.
Wipper successfully represented Legal Services Corporation and Legal Services for New
York City, two prominent federal and local legal services organizations,
in their efforts to recover real estate in the Bronx. Mr. Wipper
received community service awards from Legal Services for New York City
in recognition of that effort. Mr. Wipper was also instrumental in
building the Riverdale Nursery School and Family Center by advocating for
its interests in a highly public dispute.
Mr. Wipper is an active member of the New York City and New York State
Bar Associations, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Young
Friends of the New-York Historical Society.
Education
Mr. Wipper received a B.A. in Political Science, with honors, from Johns
Hopkins University in 1999 and a J.D. from William & Mary School of Law
in 2002.
